I’m Tammy May, Director of MyBudget.
As you can imagine I have great passion for MyBudget, having seen it grow from my kitchen table to a multi-award winning national personal budgeting organisation employing more than 60 team members across Australia.
When we launched MyBudget we knew we had to engage with people in a new and unique way – our approach had to be different from traditional financial organisations. We didn't want the old ‘bank manager’ style interaction with our clients, so we looked for people who we felt could relate to others in a compassionate and ‘non-bank’ way.
We recruited people who care about others and for attitude and personality, not experience, as a general rule. This approach has been very successful and we provide a much needed service to thousands of individuals and families across Australia by helping them gain control of their finances and improve their lives.
Our success is driven by our dedicated team members who are committed to making a difference and are all part of something which I think is unique and exciting. There are few things more rewarding than to help people achieve their goals and to change lives for the better.
MyBudget is a rapidly growing company. In 2007 we expanded, relocating to a new, larger head office in Adelaide and have since opened two offices in Melbourne. This expansion will continue with two more offices in Melbourne and three in Brisbane planned for 2009/10.
With our ongoing expansion we’re always looking for the best people over a wide range of disciplines to join our team. We’re looking for enthusiastic, energetic people to help us achieve our goals and play an integral part in the future of our company.
The effects of the recent global financial crisis are starting to be felt in Australia. It means that a tough labour market will probably get even tougher.
